A Heart for Memories, A Local Touch

Inspired by Family, Rooted in Care
Every great story starts close to home. Before Scan South existed, it was a kitchen-table project born out of love for family history. My husband and I sat down one evening, determined to digitize decades-old slides his father took while stationed in Japan during World War II. We wanted to make sure those moments - snapshots of family life and windows into history - could be shared and treasured long after the originals faded. When friends and neighbors saw what we were doing, they asked for help with their own family memories. It was the moment we realized something so personal could also be deeply meaningful to others.
What began with one box of slides quickly turned into scanning projects for families needing a safe, local way to preserve thousands of photos, films, and stories too precious to trust to just anyone. From day one, our goal has been to treat every client's memories as if they were our own - never outsourcing, always taking personal responsibility, and doing our best to deliver comfort along with technical skill. That same spirit guides us today and welcomes new families to join the Scan South story.
Quality Service With Local Commitment
Experience and trust are at the very core of what we do. With more than three decades in graphic arts and business development, I have learned how important it is to listen closely, keep promises, and handle every precious keepsake or crucial business document with careful attention. Scan South is about more than technology - it's about understanding what your memories and information mean to you and the community around us. Being a woman-owned, Jackson-based business, our team blends high-end equipment with genuine Southern care.
We welcome people at all stages - those with a single box of old photos or organizations facing a mountain of paperwork - to come to us for real solutions. Every photo or document that comes through our hands is handled here in Mississippi, not shipped off or removed from sight. Our commitment runs deep, both to safeguarding your personal treasures and to building lasting relationships across Jackson and the Southeast. When you entrust your memories or your business's legacy to us, you get more than a scan - you get a partnership focused on keeping your story alive.
